The Gambia

The family visited the Gambia for Christmas/new year 2007. Strictly a family holiday,I did manage though to pinch the odd few moments out with my camera. All images in this section were taken with the Canon 40D and a 400mm f5.6 prime lens.
We returned to The Gambia for Christmas 2010. All images on display from the Dark Chanting Goshawk onwards were taken with a 7D and either a 300 2.8 or 400 5.6, all images in this gallery are handheld.
I used local bird guide Modou Colley on a few occasions and found him to be reasonably priced and very knowledgeable. I recommend him and will certainly use him again when I return, probably in 2012.
