Washington DC



I spent most of my winter break in 2005 visiting Washington DC. I was pleasantly surprised with what the beautiful city had to offer. Its richness of American History and significant landmarks made my trip a very educational and inspiring one.

DC is also known among the international students as one of the most "affordable" vacation destinations in the United States. Simply because pretty much all of the attractions situated on the Mall do not require any entrance fees. But the tax in that city actually pretty high.

My one regret is not visiting this city earlier. It would have been a great introduction to this country for anyone coming from another country. But I'm glad that I did manage to visit. Washington DC is now way up there in my list of "Most Beautiful Cities" in the US, along with Boston and San Francisco.

Great shots! DC/VA have provided me with all kinds of photo opportunities. Hopefully you can make it back sometime during Spring when everything is in bloom and the fountains are flowing.
