This is the photo story of two GTO brothers born in California in 1969 and reunited back together again nearly 40 years later. One brother (Cali) would be found in an abandoned bodyshop after sitting disassembled for 25 years. The other brother (Nebraska) was sold off to a Nebraska farmer to settle a gambling debt and sat in a barn for over 20 years. Nebraska suffered the worst as the weather conditions and being stored in an unpaved barn caused severe rot and corrosion on the frame, body panels and floor pans. Cali, on the other hand, was stored in a dry, warm environment and was fairly well preserved, though most of his original parts have been lost and misplaced. The brothers were recently reunited in Michigan where they will begin simultaneous restorations. One (Cali) will be a show quality resto mod complete with updated technology and a new GM LS2 crate motor. Nebraska, will be brought back to original specs with minor updates in brakes and suspension. This gallery will be updated frequently with their progress...
