Kata Beach, Phuket, may not seem like a good snorkelling spot but the small headlands at either end of the beach do have some reasonable snorkelling. The poor visibility near shore may not seem promising but it gets better further out, especially the northern cape where numerous starfish and the beautiful but venomous Lionfish can be found
