These images are of Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep and were taken in November 2008 at Lamoille Canyon, which is a few miles outside of Elko, Nv. I was totally amazed at how close these animals let us get. More than once it semed like they were posing for us. Also more than once they got my heart pounding pretty good when they started to walk straight toward us at a leisurely pace and came in real close, as you'll see from a few of these images. Fortuantely, I think they were just curious, as they never acted aggressively toward us.
