Return to Oz - May/June 2005

Almost one year on and I found myself in Australia again, but this time it was completely pointless. The telescope instrument was broken so I basically found myself having a fortnight holiday at the British taxpayers' expense. So thanks everyone.

I went to pretty much the same places as last time so I decided not to inundate you with more Blue Mountains, Kangaroo or Sydney Tower pics this time, but I'm afraid I couldn't resist more opera house pics. See if you can spot the one or two "sequels" to last years photo's (if you can be bothered).

2005_0528_140710.jpg Then we went to go and see the Parkes radio telescope, which actually makes up a part of the Australia telescope even though it is a couple of hundred kilometres or so away from the main site at... that place I still can't remember the name of. This is the one used to communicate with the Apollo missions as seen in the film The Dish.
