As He Was Reading the Vows.....

Timber Trails, Pocono Pines, PA

I thought I had the perfect capture. Squeezing inside the small space,
less than four feet separating the wall and the bride and groom, I inched
in, just in time, with my new Tamron wide angle lens, to capture the bride's
expression as the groom was reading his vows. Not a bad shot, but you can
not account for what people do. If you look at the bottom right hand corner
or the photo, you can see the printed vows in the groom's hand. It appears
that the groom probably just shoved the page in his pocket, without carefully
folding first, and pulled it out, all wrinkled for the ceremony. Not an
attractive looking object. No one consider's the photographer. In the words
of the late Rodney Dangerfield, we photographers "get no respect."

How wonderful love can be! - Does anyone know how the Redskins did?

I'm not normally a fan of wedding photography (especially if I'm the photographer because it's too much hard work!) - but this is a really nice capture. You timed it to perfection, and the unorthodox framing works well. Nicely done.

Michael at his very best ! Gorgeous bride and splendid moment ! If I may recommend to change the title to "Groom is expressing his wows !!!", as vows in his hand doesn't really compliment the charming atmosphere of the image, as it looks like either second hand or of multiple use :-) !

I think both elements, the wonderful expression of love, and the nervousness of delivering the message, make it special. This picture invites to exploration. It took me a while to see the note actually!

Cindy is absolutely right! The crumpled paper actually made it to the alter just in time. The groom lost his freshly printed vows...Thank God for the Best Man! I really love this shot!

The most touching wedding photo. Just LOVE in the bride's eyes. Excellent, Michael :-)

Great capture of a wonderful moment. Her expression says it all. The crumpled paper tells its own story.

Timing IS everything.
The expression makes it a keeper though
of course.

I agree with you about the paper, and also I think what is really worth here is that priceless expression on bride`s face.
Could you see all thos dreams she has? She is really in Love!!
