The Providence Cemetery Resotration Project was formed by the Amos Lodge #136 chapter of B'nai B'rith, headed by Allan Davidson, Amos Lodge president. It is the mission of this project to restore the dignified condition and structural integrity of this old Jewish cemetery in Scranton, Pennsylvania. With active financial help from the Jewish Federation of Northeastern Pennsylvania, the mission is gradually succeeding. If you believe you may have realtives buried here, and are looking for information, you can access a directory of the deceased on the Providence Cemetery Restoration Project Website, where names, dates and stone locations are provided.
