Welcome to the modern world. The original designers of the Temple interior did not provide for sound systems, so the speaker you see in the photo was an unfortuneate add-on. But that did not stop me from taking the photo and presenting it as is. These little niche alcoves really add personality to these old Jewish conservative synagogues that you find throughout the United States and around the world..... and I thought putting this photo on a slant would give a new perspective to this unique part of the "shul's" interior design.
