Philadelphia City Hall

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Downtown Philadelphia on a bright sunny day really gets the photographic juices flowing.
This magnificent ornate and old style design contrasts in a spectacular with the modern
structures which surround it in the background. The traffic was moving fairly quickly so
I had to plan my shot well in advance, look behind my shoulder, make sure I had enough
room and time to focus my shot, step onto the street, and shoot and then quickly run to
get out of the way. What excitement. And somehow I managed to get off a decent shot.
There was, however, quite a bit of shadowing, as you might expect, so I a considerable
amount of selective photoshop shadow/highlight tool to expose some of the darkened areas.

On second thought... Is there any way to level down the surrounding buildings and erect new ones to match city hall style, actually from scratch ?! Sounds like exiting project, ah ?! Please, don't hang to word "erect"...

Don't stick your head out of window while approaching the trees on the side walks !!!
