13th Archaeological Festival at Biskupin - "Balts - the northern neighbours of Slavs", 15th-23th September 2007

Biskupin - an archaeological site and a life-size model of an Iron Age
fortified settlement in north-central Poland (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship).
It belongs to the Biskupin group of the Lusatian culture. The excavation and
the reconstruction of the prehistoric settlement has played an important part
in Polish historical consciousness.
The Museum is situated on a marshy peninsula in the Lake Biskupin,
ca. 90 km northeast of Poznañ, 8 km south of the small town of ¯nin

You have a very nice gallery here , a large gallery with images speak volume of words about the history. Archaeological history is important with out these people we would have less history and knowledge of the past. Nice work on this extensive presentation . Vote

Wonderful Gallery going deep to show the ADN of a country, of a land. I´m very interested in the civilizations that were in a country, their uses , their character, as today is possible to identify in ourselves those traits of ancient civilizations. In Portugal, in the North we´re Celts and we still keep the basic traits of the Celts. In the south , the more important influence are the moors, primitive Arabs from north of Africa, the Berbers kind. In day by day we feel that difference.
