Hi Brian, thanks for the kind comment. I don't use hdr -I've tried it, but I have never managed to get results that I've been happy with. I try to capture the image in one frame as it's the only way I know if I've managed to get the effect that I wanted. I use grad filters -sometimes up to three stacked together- to achieve this, although if the horizon isn't a straight line I usually have to balance the exposure out with a bit of dodging afterwards.
