Our second hike of the Mission Peak Trail since July 2004. We started from the Ohlone College trailhead which is longer (~3.8 miles) at 6:30PM. It was very nice, dry and breezy weather ideal for long hike. Late afternoon soft sunlight painted the green landscape in golden hue color. We reached the summit at 8:10PM, just in time to watch the amber-color sunset with the air temperature in the high 40s'. We started back down at 8:45PM,taking the shorter route (Stanford entrance, 2.8 miles) and reached the parking lot by 10:45PM and the temperature was 55. According to my Fitbit, we hiked some 17,800 steps.
