After a few days at the farm, we took off to visit the Canadian Rockies and its national parks. It was a long drive (9 hours)from Goodfare to Banff going thru Jasper NP taking the Columbia Icefield Parkway. From Banff, we also explored Yoho National park. We were lucky seeing so many wildlifes in the parks. On the way to Banff on Hway 40 South from Grande Prairie, I even hit a young cougar trying to cross the highway at 100 Km/h. Fortunately, it did not get hurt thanks to the plasticky bumper on the rental Ford Escape. According to the locals, it's a rare thing to see cougar on the road leave alone hitting one... Just my luck, I guess.
