The Wolf, no animal has been loved and hated so much as this wild canine. Growing up in north central Minnesota during the 50's and reading authors such as Jack London I became fascinated with the thought of seeing this symbol of the wilderness in its natural habitat. This did not happen until later in life. We have been lucky enough to capture them on film in the wild in Northern Minnesota, Alaska and Yellowstone. Most of these pictures were taken at the Wolf center in Ely, Minnesota and the Wildlife Science Center in Forest Lake, MN. I have to say that a close up encounter with this animal on its own turf is memorable to say the least. I hope you enjoy this gallery as much as we had gathering the photos for it. Dan
