Thank you for sharing your images on Pbase. Maybe you will get chance to look at some of mine.

I am seriously thinking about buying the Sigma 18-200 lens and came across your photos while looking for sample shots from it.
You have a great eye for nice images and the Lens / camera combination looks like it serves you well.
It looks like a great lens for carrying around as a main lens and supplement it with the primes you need.
I was seriously thinking about using 2 Canon lens to cover that range in the low end IS lens but now after seeing your shots , I think I will try the Sigma first .
Then look to get better long range room
Thanks for sharing your photos

>Oh yes, I meant to ask if your Sigma 18-200mm lens has the optical Stabilization?

I had both and sold both, because I use 5D now. Look for the EXIF bottom-line or date: all shots made after the summer 2008 are made by OS version.

OS version is 2 time heavier and larger and I had better better sharpness/3D-look results with it. IMO it's a very good choice for a cropped body. But to get better(smoother) 3D-look image you have to use primes.

Your photographs are beautiful. I just purchased the sigma 18-200mm DC lens, and noticed that your photos (like the ones found in Tashkent gallery) are so sharp and color perfect. A lot of the examples and other photos on pbase taken with the same lens aren't as nice as far as sharpness and color. Do you use any filters (like a polarizing filter) for the shots in the gallery mentioned above? Or do you have a process you follow in photoshop to clean them up?

Feel free to email me.

Thanks in advance,

Wonderful! My wife and I have lived in St. Petersburg, Russia, and Imatra, Finland. We will be moving to Novosibirsk this Summer and your photos have truly excited us. Thanks, J.Loftin
