This year we adopted the Ventura Veteran's Home in Ventura, CA as one of our primary charities to donate to. They had a need for DVD players and help with a gardening project. We bought the DVD players they requested out of charity fund and spent several labor hours building planter boxes for their garden. The boxes were built to different heights so those that are wheel chair bound could reach what ever was planted. We enjoy talking to the Veterans and had enough workers from our chapter that made the box building a fun event.
