Great group of pictures. I was part of the Professional Development staff at USNA during the 1986-7 school year when we took delivery of American Promise. Dodge Morgan himself came and showed us how everything worked and took us sailing a couple of times. 20 years ago this summer we took her on a cruise to Bermuda and the West Indies with midshipmen as crew. She's had quite a history since (a collision and sinking!). Glad to see her looking so good.
