Photos taken in Stony Swamp which is part of the 'Greenbelt', a 20,350 hectare band of open lands and forests surrounding Ottawa, Canada's national Capital, on the Ontario side of the Ottawa River. Stony Swamp is located south of Hunt Club Road off Moodie Drive.
These are great. I especially like the butterfly and frog closeups. Looks like you had a good time there. My kids and I went back recently and they loved counting how many frogs they could see (about 20). We also saw what was either a large muskrat or a small river otter. Also, some garter snakes at the second small boardwalk among the reeds to the north of the main boardwalk.
