Onion Creek

Actually, this is a photo of Upper McKinney Falls, but there's so little water
flowing through Onion Creek due to the dry summer, it's more a photo of the creek.
What there is of the falls can seen near the left edge.

Photographed in McKinney State Park at Austin, Texas USA.

It is a beautiful picture. Nice composition.

Beautiful despite the lack of water. It makes an unusual image.

Does water flow over a large portion of that ledge in the spring?

Okay, so there's not much water now, but at least you've got some fall color, and it's a nice image.

I know this place well -- welcome to Texas! And you are right it is very difficult to find a good waterfall around here with the extremely dry past year we have had.
