Parkland 3

The channel-mixing involved in post-processing of IR images
is capable of producing effects other than almost total desaturation of colours.
A variety of tints from blue to red-brown is possible
that on occasion may add to the mood of an image.

Nikon D70 ,Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom
1/2s f/5.6 at 18.0mm
Hoya R72 IR filter full exif

OOops meant to write "It DOES have the effect" must be time I went to bed making typos like that!

It doesn't have the effect of an eerie moonlight Brian - Gorgeous shot!

In this instance the tinting makes it seem more like real moonlight to me. By coincidence, the full moon now is appearing at its perigee, the closest point in it's elliptical orbit of the year. It will seem bigger now than at any other time of the year. On such a night as this, you do get something approximating the quality of light in you image. It's lovely if your weather cooperates.
