garden critter

A gecko in the house I can accept (see "lounge lizard"), but a scorpion is another matter. This one was guided into a porcelain dish and seemed to be comfortable under the warmth of my spotlights, only becoming agitated as I returned her to the garden.

other sizes: small medium original

These critters would definitely put me off the chore of garden weeding. I think that I would also adopt the religious use of shoe trees to keep 'em from hiding inside and stinging my toes! And yet, I am struck by the marvelous armor with all its intricate joints.

What do you mean "in the garden?!" I think I'd give up gardening....wonderful shot, though.

Agree with Galina :)

I hope something ate it after you returned it to the garden...looks very nippy to me.

Would have been a squashed scorpion in our house, after a bit of healthy screaming. Good shot Brian. Vote.

I'm glad you didn't get stung! I found one in my bed in college. I maced it! Needless to say it died. I won't ever get into another bed since then without checking under the covers!
