Smoke is not that easy to capture. The smoke in this image was photographed with another candle, and it was even necessary to add a little wet grass to encourage more "smokiness"! The plume was still not very interesting, and so I have "swirled" it a little and added more side-lighting using Photoshop, and finally transferred the result to this image via layering ... just consider it as artistic licence!

I have enjoyed this project so much that I will probably find myself collecting more candles and re-visiting this theme eventually.
