Oh, those eyes! 2

I quite like this version with background grain softened.

A barking owl: makes and responds to a soft, low "woof-woof" call.
Shot in heavy shade while the owl was being shown around on a ranger's gloved hand,
so I used continuous mode at high ISO for the fastest possible exposure without flash.

Jeepers peepers! VERY nice work Brian; and, I think this B&W version probably captures the defining moment better than the color image. There is aways a choice in art - this is a wonderful example. g
