In this gallery we have a very rare Gibson L4-CES copy made for Dallas Arbiter under the Jedson label in the very early 1970s.
One owner, Pete E. in the UK, purchased it used in 1975. I estimate the manufacturing date to be in 1972.
A second owner, Thomas ?, provided photos of his sample with original hard case.
The body is solid wood, not laminate. Pete states that Ibanez made the pickups (which are the originals)
It may be possible that this Jedson was produced by Hoshino in its early days -- to investigate.
Differences between the two: Sunburst color, pickguard, switchplate, knobs, and tuners
Additionally, a single sample of a Jedson thin-line archtop has been located.
