Jedson Semi-Hollow Electric

  A semi-hollow electric roughly styled after the Gibson ES335 -- not really a close copy at all.
  There are two versions of this model. A sunburst and a solid-color. There appear to
  be no other differences. Approximately seven of these guitars have been discovered,
  all appear to be identical except for the variation in finish. Only two were solid color.

I bought an identical guitar in 1975 for Ł5, it was my first electric. I sold it in 1980 for Ł12, a profit!

I have just found a semi-hollow Jedson in my attic. It is a model with the black outline. I bought it many years ago and forgot all about it. At present, I'm not sure if it is working but all the bits seems to be there and it looks to be in a reasonable condition. I am living in the UK. John F

I have a sunburst semi, identical to the style #1 guitar that's pictured above. I was practicing on my Ibanez earlier, when I felt the urge to pick up my old Jedson. I realised that I knew nothing about it, so I decided to search the web for info. It looks like there aren't many of them about. I bought it in a second hand shop in 1979, in Liverpool, England. The tremolo arm was missing, but otherwise it was in good condition, and has been kept well since. It's not the highest quality guitar in my collection, but I can't imagine parting with it. Thanks for providing some info on the website. I enjoyed browsing around. Cheers, Pete.

I still have one of these guitars bought it back in 1981 for 25 quid - it is a little rough now - but there you are number 8.... regards Mark m.briers1@ntlworld.com

Thanks for noticing and for not getting mad that I used your photos. I agree that the design of the tremolo seems like keeping the guitar in tune is a challenge.

hello-that was my guitar until i sold it a while back-funny to find it again online-wow your even using the photos i advertised it with :P looks great but is about as stable as tuning a piece of string.
