Hi, Just to say I have a 6 string identical to Brians 1969 model. The label inside is exactly the same with the model number 9000. My Mother bought me this guitar brand new and although I cannot remember the exact year (around 1970) I do recall a figure of £17. As a kid I put a Vox pick up across the sound hole and drilled three holes into the soundboard to accommodate the volume/tone controls and the jack. My guitar is not in as good a shape as Brians. It had a lot of use in the early 70's when I played regularly and had lessons. I put new strings on yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the sound but not really taken aback. I guess at the time this was an entry level guitar and all my Mum could afford. In terms of sentimentality the guitar is priceless.
