Mark's Solid-Body Design I Project

My design was inspired by models from Carvin, Paul Reed Smith, and Gibson

It features:

Chambered black walnut body with carved quilted maple top
The thru-body 3-piece neck (walnut and quilted maple)
Steward McDonald "Hot Rod" truss rod
25" scale
Ebony fingerboard with gold frets
Carvin H22 Vintage Humbuckers
Gotoh Mini Tuners SG381 Gold w/amber knobs
Gold Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge
Thru-body stringing
Separate volume and tone controls for each pickup - with coil-tap
and series/parallel and phase shift i.e. Jimmy Page Les Paul
wiring configuration

Other specs:
Overall length = 39"
Body length: 18 1/2"
Upper bout width = 10"
Lower bout width = 14"
Body thickness: center = 1 3/4 " edge approx 1 1/2"
Headstock angle 11 deg

It's hard to get an accurate photo of the amber quilted maple.
