What seems to be an annual occasion, this Manitoba family of Norwegian descent embark on making lefse. As a German lad I wanted to add sauteed apples with brown sugar. That didn't go over very well.. I was assured that the traditional way of eating lefse is simply with butter and white sugar.
How great to see norwegian traditions such as lefse still being made in the midwest!
Keep up the good work!(from a norwegian living in Norway that just had some with the coffee.)The sugar and butter is correct, anything else is a big no-no.:-)

We love to do Lefsa..Each year we embark on setting up a date so all the family who can make it participates in the family tradition of Lefse making ...We love it and can appreciate how much you all enjoy this. It brings many memories of our grandparents I think this is why I love it so much..Enjoy the tradition we hope our kids will take this on and appreciate it as much as we do...
