Airbus A380

March 19, 2007
Los Angeles, CA: Two Airbus A380's made their historic U.S. Debut. One landed in New York from Germany, and the second came from France landing here at LAX Intl Airport in Los Angeles, CA. The plane was not avaiable for public viewing although you could see the gigantic plane from the hills in the surrounding neighborhood. In the following pics, you will see the crazed public masses trying to gain vantage for a glimpse of this giant bird. Mayor Villagrosa was one of the many VIP's allowed to tour the insides of the gigantic airplane.

The A380 made it's departure home to France and will return next year for it's official public appearance.

Notes: This plane is capable of carrying over 800 pasengers. With the tail the plane is over 8 stories tall and features the only continuous dual decks.

It is surprisingly quiet on take off and landing. Due to it's enormous wingspan (almost the length of one football field) it can glide in slower than most conventional airplanes, and during takeoff it's engines are not as loud when compared to a lot of airplanes I hear on a daily basis.
