Surprisingly, this was our only Rough-leg of the trip. We didn't spend much time in Rough-leg territory though. This bird was at Parker River NWR, on Plum Island.

We were hoping for the Snowy Owl that is usually seen there, but no luck. Luckily, we had seen the one at Shinnecock on Long Island already. We did get our 1st Northern Shrike of the trip here, and great looks at several Short-eared Owls.
