This field has been very productive for Jeff over the years for this very distinctive 'Grasspiper'. We had 5 birds here on Saturday. Jeff's experience with these birds, and eye for finding the right habitat, makes finding them at times seem too easy! This has been a banner year even for Jeff's standards though.

At times these birds can be maddeningly difficult to find, even when you know they are there. Saturday though, we hadn't been stopped 10 seconds when Jeff and I both picked up on differnt birds at the same time.
