We saw White-tailed Hawks on two days. Our initial sighting was of two birds over the Gran Sabana, both dark morphs (one of which here). We later had a couple of light-morph birds as we drove northward toward Curapano.
I think the barring on the crissum expected of the race of White-tailed found in that part of South America is lost in the photo. With that tail pattern and overall shape of the bird, I don't think there are any other contenders,at least not in this part of South America? Any other suggestions?

That's a very dark crissum. Are you sure it is a White-tailed Hawk?
