Geese

Britton Ford; Henry Co.

There were at least 27 Greater White-fronts in the mix today, the most I've seen here this season. Two Ross's had been around, but they weren't seen. One of the hybrids is visible in the lower left corner.

I remember when I was a kid, and my father and I would scour through Canada flocks looking for the occasional White-front. Granted, they were much less numerous here in the 80's, but I think we were overestimating the trouble of picking them out (the orange legs and bill do stand out just a little :')
