Obviously not a great shot, but the typical habitat and buff-tipped tail feathers are visible. This photo was taken at Amistad Dam, on Amistad Reservoir, near Del Rio, north of Falcon Dam. This area doesn't appear to get birded much, but was a great end to our trip through south Texas. We picked up several birds, and images, that we had missed elsewhere. This photo was shot through a fence, as the bird was working the area of the Dam overlook. We encountered Rock Wrens in several locations around Lake Amistad. We also had Canyon Wrens a couple of times, but never got a shot.
