I was wanting some sleeping scaup comparisons, and got a few. Two sleeping Greater are at the back of the photo (male and female), and three male Lesser are asleep in the foreground. Though they aren't all turned at the exact same angle, this apparent difference in head shape is pretty typical and a great concrete ID point on even distant flocks of sleeping scaup.
