This young Trumpeter Swan has been present for several weeks on a residential lake just north of Jackson, TN. For additional photos, I have a gallery for this bird here:

Though not as encompassing of the eye as many adult Trumpeters, this bird has the loral skin well developed. Many January Tundras haven't developed this past a pale gray line. This was early January, but compare to this: http://www.pbase.com/mctodd/image/54342330. Not saying this is diagnostic, just seems the black of the bill and loral skin seems to develop faster in Trumpeter.
