I had 8 Westerns in the group here, this is a closer bird showing the tail pattern very well, with discreet dark bars without the dark area along shaft and and heavier blurry bars shown by the 2 subspecies of Eastern Meadowlark we have here. The back and wings are paler overall than our Easterns as well.
