The last big (figuratively) surprise of the trip was this jewel. We flushed it from the riverside, and luckily everyone got it. A big help was that it had just caught this fish and did not want to have to let it go.

It was very dark when I took this photo, at the minimun focus distance of my lens. It looks a lot bigger in the photo than it actually is.
