These galleries are dedicated largely to birds, from various trips to see them. I have various galleries for specific topics or trips, and larger all-incluseive galleries which will eventually include all of the species I have photographed. I am a birder 1st, and photographer 2nd, so I don't mind if there is a distracting branch or something in the way of the bird, I call them habitat shots! All of these images were taken with a digital camera, most handheld through a spotting scope. I always try to get decent photos, but often with an unusual and distant bird a mediocre shot will be OK to document. This is what I originally got a camera for anyway. I hope you enjoy looking at the photos a fraction of as much as I enjoyed taking them!
