Jahnavi's aji and ajoba (grandmother and grandfather) came in from Cincinnati two weeks ago for a long weekend. They hadn't seen her in months and were amazed at the changes. Last time they saw J-Ro, she wasn't cooing or gooing or (almost) rolling over or looking people in the eye or searching for the source of a noise in the room or giggling or smiling when you call her name. She's a little human being after all.

A week earlier, we took Jahnu to the county service center and applied for her passport. We thought we’d save a few bucks by using our home photo printer. Photographers we're not, but then neither are the county employees (who charge $16! Robbery!). Next step is to apply for the visa and then we’ll be off to India in July!
