The fifth district of Rome, Rione Ponte lies in the bend of the Tevere and is bordered on its eastern sides by the districts of Campo Marzio, Sant' Eustachio, Parione and Regola. Ponte takes its name from the bridge of Sant'Angelo which crosses from it to the Castel Sant'Angelo.
