Engineering Monstrosity

Blackpool, England

The light under the pier was poor so I gave HDR a bash
I am not really a fan of grundgy HDR but the emphasis it
gave on this old engineering structure was pretty cool

Belended this one together from five exposures

Canon EOS 30D ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1/8s f/13.0 at 20.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Absolutely a first class example of high intensity HDR - perfect scene and subject to use it on! The colors truly blow me away. ~V~

I think that may be over-engineered....just a guess mind!

Wonderful Tony....HDR really has its place and worked great on this shot!...BV

It is an interesting accentuation. I'm not a big fan of the over the top HDR either.

They must have thought something monstrously heavy was going to use the pier! The HDR certainly emphasises the complexity.

Monstrosity indeed! What happened to elegant simplicity?
