The Sonoran Desert of Arizona and the Mexican State of Sonora are the only places in the world where the Saguaro (sah-WAH-row) cactus grows.
The Saguaro grows slowly and has a lifespan of from 150 to 200 years, generally taking 47 to 67 years to reach a height of 6 feet and fully grown
the cactus may have grown as much as 40 to 60 feet tall.
