Acre or Akko is a seaport town that stands on a low promontory at the northern extremity of the Bay of Acre in the Western Galilee district in northern Israel.
The city of Acre one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world dating back to the time of the Pharaoh Thutmose III (1504-1450 BCE). People are living their modern life in a city that its milieu is a real mixture between the remnant of the Maritime Capital of the Crusader Kingdom, the Mamluks (Muslim) conquerors and the Ottoman Empire.
