Sparrow Day at the Raines Home 2012

The day began with 29°and frost, but the sun soon warmed things up. We had 44 species for the day with the notable birds being Great Horned Owl, Great Blue Heron, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Sharp-shinned, Cooper's, Red-shouldered and Red-tailed Hawks, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, two Common Ravens, Hermit Thrush, Brown Thrasher,6 Purple Finches,5 Yellow-rumped Warblers 6 sparrow species which were Fox, Eastern Towhee, Chipping Sparrow, Field Sparrow, Song and White-throated.
