We are a husband and wife team of semi-professional photographers located in Northern California. Starting out, we shot photos intended for exhibition as art, and we regularly exibit photos in North State photography shows and county fair exhibition.

As we have grown in photography, we find ourselves doing more commercial and photojournalism work. Beth is a freelance writer for both newspapers and magazines in the North State; typically her stories are accompanied by pictures taken specifically for the story. Tony has been doing some professional architectural photography for business clients here in the North State.

We use exclusively Nikon equipment, and shoot 100% digital. Our primary cameras are a Nikon D700 and a D200.

Our lenses are all Nikon unless otherwise stated. They include an 18-200mm DX VR, 18-70mm DX, 24-120mm (non VR) a 20mm f2.8 prime, a 70-300mm ED zoom, a 80-200 f2.8 zoom, a 50mm f1.8 prime, a 10-20mm Sigma ultrawide, and 10.5mm fisheye.

We shoot in either RAW or JPEG depending on the subject matter and the purpose of the shoot. Shots we take that we intend using as 'art shots' are done in RAW. Tony shoots architecture in RAW. Beth's news are mostly JPEG; magazine shots--which have higher standards for color and resolution---we tend to shoot in RAW.

We post-process shoots taken in RAW using Photoshop CS/3 with Camera Raw. Most of Beth's news shots are taken in JPEG. We have also begun to use DxO Optics Pro to process Beth's freelance news shots; we also like DxO's Filmpack plug-in for imparting a film look to some of our photo.
