Our otter

I NOTICED SOME UNFAMILIAR MOVEMENT IN THE POND AND DISCOVERED THAT WE HAVE A GUEST. HOPEFULLY HE WILL ONLY STAY A LITTLE WHILE. WE HAVE HAD A RESIDENT MUSKRAT BEFORE THE THIS GUY IS TOO BIG FOR MY LIKING. I DON'T KNOW WHAT BLUE WOULD DO IF THEY MET.

We have a muskrat pair in our little pond.
They don't stay the year but always, in the
spring. Maybe Blue and Otter will keep their
peace and distance.

He must have been under water for quite a while and you have nicely
captured him taking that breath of air before diving in again.
Nice shot, Margot.

Goodness me...that is a big one and not too shy
with you being there. You'll have to let us know
if Blue has a new neighbour or not.LOL

Oh, it will be very interesting to note that meeting. I think he is saying, "hello" to you Margot. Probably to make sure that you will not kick her away from the property ;-)

Oh I always think it's so cool to see wildlife whereever we are...wonderful and this pond looks like it would have a lot of photographic possibilities too. Do you get ducks and swans, or geese? I love cattails and reflections...great catch Margot!! :)
