You're more than welcome Margot, it's always a pleasure to see your work. I am learning too, but I am happy to help if I can...:)

Linda I am so pleased that you are there for me to help. Often I find that I just shoot and wonder why I get the pictures I do. I let the camera do so much of the work without checking. Just an old bad habit about checking before I press send or push the shutter button. lol
I know I need to study the camera to get better shots. I want to start. Perhaps you are my guiding light to aim me in the right direction.
I appreciate your comments so much Linda.
Many thanks.

Hi Margot these are really lovely flowers and I like the title too. I wonder why you are shooting at an ISO of 800 though? And why with the window light your shutter speed is so slow? I get noise in my images when I use higher ISO's which sometimes is ok, because a good noise filter like Neat Image will remove it, though sometimes it removes details too. And you have a bit of noise here too. Here in the Caribbean because of the tradewinds, I often have to increase my ISO to help freeze, or eliminate the movement of my subject, but I am careful to not go too high, because of the noise, but then again if you have good light that isn't as big of a factor as when you increase the ISO and shoot in lower light, then you are more apt to have noise. Anyway just curious, beautiful flowers and a very nice dedication to your friend...:)
