Steve an Old Order Mennonite farmer sprays a heavy stream of wheat chaff to the barn floor after the grain was separated from it. The chaff ends up lying in huge drifts on the barn floor and then would be flattened and compressed by Draft horses or Mules. This was the first time I witnessed this method of processing the wheat, because before the chaff was baled instead for use as livestock feed.
